4 years agoDuring the second quarter against the Panthers on Thursday night, Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley was tackled from behind and immediately grabbed his left foot. Common injuries in the foot and ankle include lateral ankle sprains, high ankle sprains, mid-foot sprains and turf toe, but it's unknown exactly what kind of injury Ridley is dealing with. His status to return to the game is unknown at this time, but considering that this is a divisional game, the Falcons will do everything in their power to get him back on the field. Ridley's practice availability leading into Week 9 against the Broncos will be worth monitoring. If Ridley is forced to miss time, receivers Russell Gage, Christian Blake and Olamide Zaccheaus will be forced to step up behind Julio Jones. Ridley had three catches for 42 yards before leaving Thursday.--Aaron Burger
