Cam Newton On Track To Play In Week 6

4 years agoNew England Patriots quarterback Cam Newton is expected to rejoin the team when they return to practice on Thursday, according to a source. Per the transaction wire, the Patriots officially removed Newton from the COVID-19 list on Wednesday as well. That would put Newton on track to start in Week 6 against the Broncos after he missed the Week 4 loss to the Chiefs after a positive COVID-19 test. The former MVP has reportedly been asymptomatic since testing positive, so he has a good shot at returning this weekend. Make sure to check back through the end of the week to see if Newton is practicing. If he's available this Sunday, Newton should have QB1 upside against a Broncos Defense that will be missing most of their top playmakers.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
