4 years agoIt has been a hot run for Cameron Smith, who enters his title defense at Waialae Country Club having provided 12 straight made cuts and five top-25 results over his previous five events. When we look at why the Aussie has found the venue to suit his game, we shouldn't look any further than his ability to generate birdies in bunches. Smith ranks a stout ninth compared to the field over his past 24 rounds in strokes gained putting and adds to his allure by grading out 15th in birdie or better percentage over the last two years. Some red flags are looming for those that take a closer look into his driving accuracy or ball-striking numbers, but that hasn't resulted in any issues at the property with four straight top-30 finishes. --Spencer Aguiar - RotoBaller
