6 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Carlos Martinez (lat) was activated from the disabled list and will make the start on Tuesday against the Miami Marlins. Martinez spent just over three weeks on the DL recovering from a strained lat muscle. Before getting hurt, he was pitching at an ace level, posting a 1.62 ERA and 1.08 WHIP with 47 strikeouts in 50 innings. He only had one rehab outing and only threw 63 pitches in that start, so he may not be left in Tuesday's game for too long, but his fantasy owners will certainly be thrilled to have him back in the lineup.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
