Carson Wentz Benched After A Terrible Start

3 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz was benched for the final four series of the game on Sunday after getting off to a horrendous start. Wentz completed just six of his 15 pass attempts for 79 empty yards. He added 18 yards on three carries, but was just completely lost on the field against the Packers Defense. Rookie quarterback Jalen Hurts came in and immediately sparked some life into the Eagles offense. With the 3-7-1 Eagles still in the playoff race because of NFC East reasons, it remains to be seen if coach Doug Pederson will return to Wentz next week or let Hurts get the start. Neither would be much of a fantasy option against a strong New Orleans defense though.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
