Christin Stewart Activated, Sent To Minors

5 years agoDetroit Tigers outfielder Christin Stewart (concussion) was activated from the seven-day injured list on Thursday and optioned to Triple-A Toledo. He's expected to be back in Detroit when rosters expand on Sept. 1. In the meantime, Victor Reyes, Travis Demeritte and Harold Castro will continue to see everyday at-bats for the rebuilding club. Stewart has a slash line of .239/.321/.393 with seven home runs, 27 runs and 33 RBI for Detroit in 81 games this year. When he's back on the major league roster, expect him to see at least semi-regular time in the final month as the club evaluates their young outfield options heading into next season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
