5 years agoThe Houston Astros optioned outfielder Derek Fisher to Triple-A Round Rock on Thursday and recalled pitcher Rogelio Armenteros from Round Rock in a corresponding move. Fisher often hit out of the leadoff spot with George Springer (hamstring) on the injured list but was just 1-for-11 with four strikeouts during the current homestand. With prospect Yordan Alvarez also in town now, Fisher wasn't going to be playing much. Armenteros had a 5.00 ERA in 49 innings for Round Rock and will serve in a relief role for a taxed bullpen.
