Dexter Fowler Hitting Leadoff, Harrison Bader Back

5 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfielder Dexter Fowler is hitting leadoff on Friday night against Braves starting pitcher Mike Foltynewicz. Also, outfielder Harrison Bader (elbow) is back in center field and is hitting eighth in the batting order. Matt Carpenter has been moved down to the No. 5 spot. Fowler has been swinging a hot stick of late and has his slash line up to .283/.413/.441 on the season. He's an excellent DFS pick with increased opportunities on this night. Bader returns after getting hit by a pitch on Wednesday, but he's more of a defensive player than an offensive one. Carpenter has been slumping all year and is hitting just .203/.324/.362 with six home runs, 30 runs and 14 RBI in his 177 at-bats.
