Donovan Mitchell Not Expected To Be Traded

2 years agoWhile the Utah Jazz appear to be on the verge of a full rebuild after their blockbuster deal on Friday, Tony Jones of The Athletic reports that the team has no plans to trade star guard Donovan Mitchell. Jones states that the team is looking to build around Mitchell, utilizing their ample cash and plethora of first round picks. The team received four future first-rounders -- as well as five players -- from the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for star center Rudy Gobert on Friday. They also received the Brooklyn Nets' 2023 first rounder in exchange for Royce O'Neale this past Thursday. Expect to see more moves by the franchise in the coming months, but don't expect to see their 25-year-old franchise centerpiece, Mitchell, to be on the move.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
