Eduardo Rodriguez Running Out Of Time

4 years agoBoston Red Sox manager Ron Roenicke acknowledged that starting pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez, who tested positive for COVID-19, is running out of time to be ready for the start of the season. "We need to hear some good news pretty soon," Roenicke said. With E-Rod looking more unlikely to be ready for Opening Day by the day, Nathan Eovaldi is gaining steam to be the team's Opening Day starter on July 24. Rodriguez's 19 wins in 2019 were great for fantasy owners, but you constantly have to live with the ups and downs from the left-hander and rough WHIP and walk rates. A late start to the season will make him a little less attractive as a back-end fantasy starter in 2020.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
