5 years agoMilwaukee Brewers first baseman Eric Thames came in to the 8th inning and Sunday's game and hit a home run to tie the game. That now makes two homers in Thames last three games and also raises his batting average to .270. While Thames only has one at bat in each of his last two games, the real fantasy news has to do with Jesus Aguilar, who went 0-for-4 again on Sunday and lowered his average to .136. The Brewers are looking to win their division this year, and won't wait for Aguilar to come around if Thames starts to heat up again. For now, Thames is far from a must own, but if he is able to edge out Aguilar in playing time and take advantage, Thames could end up being must own. After all, Thames did hit .274 with 35 homers in 2018. If given consistent playing time in an even better offense, Thames could be great.--Steve McCarthy - RotoBaller
