6 years agoAccording to Rob Biertempfel, "[Pittsburgh] Pirates [catcher] Francisco Cervelli (concussion) has been cleared to resume baseball activities. At the moment, he is taking grounders at first base at GABP." Cervelli spent some time on the disabled list in late June and early July, and was placed on the DL again, July 14. Cervelli may not return to catcher, and has been practicing at first base. Josh Bell is the usual Pirates first baseman, so we will see how things work out in Pittsburgh when Cervelli returns.--Aaron
