Freddy Peralta Could Lose Rotation Spot

5 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Freddy Peralta could lose his rotation spot after getting bombed by the Rockies on Thursday in his return from the injured list. "We’re going to have to have a conversation about that," manager Craig Counsell said. Corbin Burnes is currently in the bullpen and Chase Anderson is injured, but either of those pitchers could wind up taking Peralta's spot. Peralta has struggled in every outing this year except his first one, and he has a rough 12.81 ERA in the first inning. The right-hander allowed nine runs to Colorado and shouldn't be owned in mixed leagues right now despite his strikeout upside.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
