3 years agoNew York Yankees second baseman Gleyber Torres is absent from the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against left-hander Yusei Kikuchi and the Toronto Blue Jays. DJ LeMahieu will be covering the keystone in the game. Torres is slashing .225/.260/.423 with three home runs, 12 RBI and four runs over 22 games on the year. He's been better against lefties than righties so far. He has a .905 OPS against southpaws, compared to a .590 OPS against righties, so it's a bit surprising that he's sitting against the left-handed Kikuchi. Either way, expect to see him back in the lineup for the team's next game on Friday against the Texas Rangers.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
