3 years agoThe Miami Heat selected forward Nikola Jovic from the Serbian squad Mega Mozzart 27th overall in the 2022 NBA draft. Jovic was one of the top international prospects in the 2022 draft class. He had a unique route to draft night as he primarily played water polo growing up and only transitioned to basketball a few years back. Jovic stands 6'11" and has a diversified tool set that includes strong passing abilities and a promising jump shot. His breakout performance came at the 2020-21 EuroLeague Next Generation Tournament, where he averaged 29.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.8 blocks per game. He'll certainly be something of a project for the Heat, but if he can refine his skills and improve upon his concerning defense, he could be a steal.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
