6 years agoColorado Rockies first baseman/outfielder Ian Desmond is in the midst of a 3-for-43 slump, and he's showing no signs of escaping it anytime soon. Two of Desmond's last three hits have been home runs, but he's only had one other hit since April 4. He's also only taken two walks in that period, leading to a pitiful on-base percentage of just .111. His BABIP is horrendously low, so that bodes well for a little return to normal, but he's also hitting ground balls 71% of the time. Expect Desmond to eventually come out of the funk, but for now, he shouldn't be in anyone's starting lineup.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
