3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Jack Flaherty (side) was forced to leave his start on Monday due to tightness in his left side. Flaherty hurt himself while batting in the top of the sixth inning and was unable to come back for the bottom of the inning. Before being forced to leave, he'd pitched five innings, allowing two runs on two hits (both solo home runs) while walking one and striking out nine. If Flaherty is dealing with an oblique injury, he will almost certainly require a trip to the injured list, but more details will likely not be available until some time on Tuesday.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
