5 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Jesus Luzardo (shoulder) will throw at a distance of 90 feet on Wednesday to start his normal throwing progression. He should be throwing in actual games in four to six weeks if he can avoid any setbacks. Luzardo, the team's top prospect and No. 11 overall per MLB Pipeline, was set to begin the year in the rotation after a strong spring before his injury hit. The left-hander had a 10.6 K/9 in 23 minor league starts in 2018 and should already be stashed in dynasty and AL-only leagues for his strikeout upside. We should see him in Oakland's rotation before the year is out.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
