5 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Jhoulys Chacin gave up two runs on five hits and three walks through five innings while striking out five on Friday against the Dodgers. Other than his disastrous last start, this is pretty much what you can expect from Chacin. The 5.92 ERA should come down a little bit as his 21% home run to fly ball percentage should definitely normalize, but I wouldn't expect it lower than low fours or high threes. There won't be a lot of strikeouts and the ERA and WHIP can be suspect, but Chacin is a middling option for the back of your rotation in deeper leagues considering he pitching for the Brewers and hypothetically should rack up wins. Chacin is more valuable in points leagues where the ratios won't hurt as bad. He is set to pitch next Wednesday at the Cardinals.--Steve McCarthy - RotoBaller
