Ji-Man Choi, Kevin Kiermaier Out Against Southpaw

5 years agoTampa Bay Rays first baseman Ji-Man Choi and outfielder Kevin Kiermaier are both out of the lineup against Royals left-handed starter Danny Duffy on Thursday. Nathaniel Lowe is at first base and is batting eighth, while Guillermo Heredia is in center field and hitting ninth. Neither player is very attractive for DFS hitting that low in the lineup. Third baseman Yandy Diaz is serving as the designated hitter and is batting leadoff, while infielder Brandon Lowe drops to sixth against the lefty. Diaz has seven long balls and is hitting .275 on the season, making him very attractive against the left-hander. He's hitting .360 (9-for-25) with two homers against lefties so far in 2019.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
