5 years agoSan Francisco Giants catcher Joey Bart (hand) is progressing from a hand fracture on schedule and could get into an extended spring training game in around 10 days. Outfielder Heliot Ramos (knee) is also improving and could get into extended spring action in the middle of next week. Bart is the team's top prospect and Ramos is their No. 2 prospect, so the Giants would like to see them both return to the minors soon. Bart was hitting .270/.341/.541 with two homers and eight RBI in 10 games for High-A San Jose and could still be an option for the big leagues later this year. Ramos, 19, was batting .270/.422/.587 with five long balls and 11 RBI in 19 games for San Jose, although he might take a little longer to get through the system.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
