5 years agoThe Boston Red Sox have called up pitcher Josh Smith to make a spot start on Friday against the Rays in Boston. The 31-year-old right-hander has a career 5.30 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and weak 7.3 K/9 in 67 outings at the big league level. He hasn't pitched in the majors since 2017 with the A's and will be one to avoid entirely for streaming purposes against a strong Tampa lineup. He's likely to be sent back to Triple-A Pawtucket after his start on Friday.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
