Justin Thomas Eyeing Back-To-Back Wins
2 years agoJustin Thomas, now a two-time PGA Champion, battled the worst weather that hit his wave of tee times to outduel Will Zalatoris in a playoff last weekend. Thomas gained at least 2.4 strokes in each major statistical category. His irons, typically the strength of his game, gained the least number of strokes. He gained over 6.5 strokes putting, which was the second-best putting performance of the week. His game suits any golf course and he will rely on his shot-shaping off the tee and incredibly consistent iron play to presumably put himself back in contention a mere four days after hoisting the Wannamaker trophy. His confidence is at an all-time high, and if he takes this week seriously, we could see him win back-to-back events.
