5 years agoLos Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen was completely held in check by the Denver Broncos Defense on Sunday. Allen tallied four catches for just 18 yards, and 17 yards of that came on his first two catches of the game. It was clear that Denver made a point of removing Allen from the game, and they were completely successful in pushing quarterback Philip Rivers into throwing checkdowns all afternoon instead. Allen is still the clear No. 1 receiver on the field, and most teams won't have a shutdown cornerback like Chris Harris Jr. at their disposal, but it's still concerning to see how much the LA offense struggled to deal with the challenge.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
