4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals left-hander Kwang Hyun Kim will get the start in Game 1 of the wild-card series against the Padres on Wednesday. Veteran right-hander Adam Wainwright will start in Game 2. Padres left-handed hitters Mitch Moreland and Jason Castro, who have poor career numbers against southpaws, will likely start the series on the bench. Kim had a 1.62 ERA in eight outings during the shortened season after signing a two-year, $8 million deal in the offseason. The 32-year-old is entering the postseason on a hot streak, and he finished the year with a 1.03 WHIP and 24:12 K:BB in his 36 innings this year, but the Friars offense can put up runs with the best of them.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
