5 years agoColorado Rockies manager Bud Black said that starting pitcher Kyle Freeland, who is on the injured list with a left middle finger blister, will throw bullpen sessions on Wednesday and Friday. The left-hander could be cleared to rejoin the rotation next Monday. Freeland is 2-3 with a 4.23 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 30 K's in 27 2/3 frames over his five starts. He has plenty of upside and had a sparkling 2.85 ERA in 33 starts last season, but he's also a volatile fantasy starter in mixed leagues when he toes the rubber at Coors Field.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
