4 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Kyle Lewis went 1-for-3 with a home run, three runs and two walks in Friday's win over the Rangers. Lewis is now on a six game hit streak and has three multi-hit games in that span with two homers, four RBI, seven runs, five walks and a stolen base. Lewis looks locked in at the plate over the past week and the walk rate has improved to 13.8% compared to his 4% walk rate in 2019. Though Lewis has six home runs, he only has one other extra-base hit all year and the BABIP is still unsustainable at .439. It's hard to put this season into perspective considering we are already close to the halfway point, but it's still only been 28 games which is a very small sample size. There is a chance he could extend this hot streak through the year, but the underlying data leans towards this being unsustainable and Lewis headed for major regression.--Steve McCarthy - RotoBaller
