3 years agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Lucas Giolito had a rough outing in Wednesday's 9-5 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays. He pitched five innings and allowed 11 hits, one walk and seven earned runs while striking out three. He gave up two home runs in the game, including a grand slam to Bo Bichette in the fourth inning. Giolito earned the loss on Wednesday, dropping his record to 4-4 on the season. It's been a tough stretch overall for the 27-year-old, who has now allowed at least six earned runs over three of his last five starts. Going into his last start against the Blue Jays on May 31, he had a season-long ERA of 2.63. Five starts later and he's looking at a season-long 5.40 ERA and 1.56 WHIP. He'll look to turn things around in his next start, which will be on Monday against the Los Angeles Angels.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
