Matt Harvey To Make Season Debut Wednesday, Start In DH

4 years agoKansas City Royals right-handed pitcher Matt Harvey has been brought up to the active roster to start one of the two contests in Wednesday’s doubleheader against the Reds. Harvey pitched for Cincinnati in 2018, which was the last time that he had sustained success on a big league mound. The injury to Jakob Junis (back) opened up a spot in the Royals’ rotation, which Harvey could seize with consistent performances. His first matchup isn’t a particularly favorable one from a DFS or streamer option perspective, but he’s a name to keep an eye on in the case that he can reclaim anything mirroring his prior elite form from his days in New York.--Jesse Borek
