Melvin Gordon Faces A Tough Task

5 years agoLos Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon will get his second shot at game speed on Sunday, but he'll have his hands full against a Pittsburgh defense that has been on fire. The deck is stacked against him as Gordon looked rusty in his first appearance, his offensive line is bad and injured, and the Steelers Defense has been the fourth-stingiest defense in the league versus opposing running backs over the last few weeks. The one good thing for Gordon is that he may put up good numbers simply due to compilation. Pittsburgh is looking at starting their third-string QB, and that may allow LA to jump out to a lead and give Gordon beaucoup chances to touch the ball.
