Melvin Ingram Keeps Chargers In The Game

4 years agoLos Angeles Chargers defensive end Melvin Ingram gave it his all, but the Chargers just weren't able to muster enough offense to pull out a win. When the offense took nearly all of the first quarter to get a first down, Ingram stepped up and helped shut down a pair of Raiders drives that could have busted the game wide open. Ingram finished with 1.5 sacks on the day, and the Chargers Defense only allowed 24 points on the day. It wasn't a phenomenal showing, but with how bad Oakland's secondary is, it should have been enough to get a win. Instead, LA lost another close game, and that fits with the rest of their season. Unfortunately, Ingram and the rest of the Chargers defense will have to square off against Kansas City next week to finish out the year.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
