2 years agoFree-agent outfielder Michael Conforto (shoulder) has a good chance to sign with a team to be a hitter, perhaps by September. Conforto will be able to sign without the team losing a draft choice when the 2022 MLB draft ends on Tuesday. A lot will depend on how the 29-year-old's rehab from right shoulder surgery in mid-April is going. If he does sign with a team late in the second half, it will only be as a hitter, and fantasy managers can probably ignore him for the stretch run. In 125 games for the New York Mets in 2021, Conforto hit .232/.344/.384 with 14 home runs, 55 RBI, 52 runs scored and one stolen base.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
