5 years agoOrlando Magic center Mohamed Bamba says that he has gained 28 pounds during quarantine. "I’ve worked my tail off during this quarantine,’’ Bamba said. He has only added about 2.5 percent body fat, which means most of the gained weight is muscle. It sounds like Bamba is going to be in better shape than he was before the hiatus. He was playing fairly well before the shutdown, but the Magic usually limit him to minutes in the teens which is going to hurt his fantasy value.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

3 years agoOrlando Magic center Mo Bamba (ankle) was forced to exit early during Thursday's game against the Charlotte Hornets. He only played five minutes before suffering a right ankle sprain. He'll sit out the rest of this game and is possibly done for the season with one game left on their schedule. In fact, Bamba might've played his last game as a member of the Magic roster. He's a free agent at the end of the season and very well could be headed elsewhere. Moritz Wagner and Robin Lopez will split up his minutes on Thursday and possibly Sunday as well. Wagner has much better streaming appeal between the two players.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

3 years agoOrlando Magic point guard Jalen Suggs (ankle) and center Mo Bamba (calf) are both good to go for Sunday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers. They are penciled into the starting five for the game alongside Wendell Carter Jr., Cole Anthony and Franz Wagner. Suggs is dealing with an ankle injury that's forced him to miss a few games over the past week or so. Bamba, meanwhile, has a left calf bruise. The seven-footer hasn't missed a game since mid-January, and he's coming off a stellar game in which he hit five three-pointers and racked up 27 points and 12 boards.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller

3 years agoOrlando Magic point/shooting guard Jalen Suggs (ankle) and center Mo Bamba (calf) have been tagged as questionable to play in Sunday's game against Philadelphia. Both players were able to take the floor Friday, although Suggs has missed two outings over the past 10 days due to an ankle ailment. Bamba's status is arguably more relevant when facing the 76ers due to his defensive importance in attempting to corral Joel Embiid. Bamba notched his 13th double-double of the year Friday, knocking down five triples en route to delivering a 27-point, 12-rebound performance. R.J. Hampton and Moritz Wagner are candidates to see elevated run if Suggs or Bamba, respectively, are held out. Fantasy managers will want to check back for the final word on the Magic's injury report.--Jesse Borek

3 years agoOrlando Magic center Mo Bamba (ankle) has been cleared to suit up for Wednesday's contest against the Clippers and will start after having sustained a sprained right ankle his last time out. Bamba has largely enjoyed a breakout campaign in 2021-22, but the Magic have kept his minutes total in check during January with him seeing an average of just 22.4 minutes across his last 10 outings; in that span, he has scored in double figures four times, including a season-high 32-point effort last Wednesday. Orlando will have their entire healthy starting five available vs. LA, but Bamba's shot-blocking efforts (2.1 per game, tied for fourth in the league) make him a perennial DFS threat.--Jesse Borek
