3 years agoTampa Bay Rays pitcher Nick Anderson (0-1) allowed one earned run on one hit and a walk across one inning during Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays. He didn't strike anyone out and was tagged with the loss. The 31-year-old yielded a sacrifice fly to Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette in the sixth inning. Anderson has now allowed an earned run in back-to-back appearances. The Rays continue to bring the right-hander back slowly after he returned from the injured list in mid-September. Anderson has been used in a middle-relief role and owns a 3.60 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, and one strikeout over five innings. With the season winding down, fantasy managers can move on from Anderson as the Rays rely on Dietrich Enns and Pete Fairbanks to save games. At the same time, incumbent closer Andrew Kittredge (shoulder) is on the 10-day injured list. Enns recently notched his second save on Monday and is the Rays reliever fantasy managers should be targeting for the fantasy baseball playoffs.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
