6 years agoComing off a defeat that saw the Philadelphia Phillies struggle to put runs on the board, they resumed their series with the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday at SunTrust Park. The club sent 25-year-old Nick Pivetta to the mound looking to turn things around. Pivetta would concede just one run on five hits across five innings of work, striking out two. While he didn’t walk a single batter, he still struggled with pitch count, getting pulled following just five frames with 98 pitches thrown. He left with the scored tied at one run apiece, with the Phillies later winning in extra innings.--RDelgado
