4 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Patrick Corbin had a strong start to open up his 2020 campaign on Sunday. Against a formidable New York Yankees lineup, Corbin pitched 6 1/3 innings and allowed two hits, no walks and one earned run while striking out eight. The only run came on a Gleyber Torres home run in the seventh inning. Corbin left the game with a 2-1 lead, but the Yankees tied the game later in the seventh. It's nice to see Corbin get off to a strong start this year, even with a tough matchup. Things should certainly be easier for him in his second start as he's slated to go up against a weak Miami Marlins lineup on Friday.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
