Paul DeJong Struggling In Grapefruit League Play

3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals shortstop Paul DeJong has struggled in Grapefruit League play this season. In 43 spring at bats, DeJong is hitting just .209 with a .571 OPS. He's hit just one home run so far. DeJong is not in any danger of losing any regular season playing time, but he's been such a streaky hitter throughout his career that it would be ideal to see him get off to a hot start instead of kicking off the 2021 season on a cold spell. DeJong is probably a more valuable fantasy asset in rotisserie leagues, where his hot and cold spells even out throughout the season.
