5 years agoNew York Mets first baseman Peter Alonso is not in the starting lineup on Thursday. Dominic Smith will get the start at first base and is hitting second against Reds starting pitcher Tyler Mahle. Alonso has been one of the most impressive rookies in the league so far in the early going, but make sure you remove him from your lineups Thursday. Smith has quietly hit .357 (10-for-28), although he hasn't left the yard yet and has just four RBI.
