Peter Lambert Expected To Miss Considerable Time

4 years agoColorado Rockies pitcher Peter Lambert (forearm) is now expected to miss "considerable time" due to his forearm injury. As of now, tests that were performed yesterday have not come back, but manager Bud Black seems to have already accepted that this is not a minor ailment. Lambert was one of the team's top prospects last year, but he struggled mightily in his major league appearances. Lambert finished his rookie year with a 7.25 ERA in 89 1/3 innings pitched, and he struck out less than six batters per nine innings. Him being one of the team's top prospects says more about the team's farm system than Lambert. Either way, he was unlikely have much, if any, fantasy relevance this season.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
