3 years agoThe Detroit Pistons selected guard Jaden Ivey out of Purdue University with the fifth overall pick in the 2022 NBA draft. Ivey is an explosive, 6'4" guard who had a breakout year as a sophomore in 2021-22. He averaged 17.3 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game last year while shooting 46% from the field. Considered one of the most athletic players in the 2022 draft class, Ivey put together a number of highlight reel dunks last season. He'll bring some much-needed burst and creativity to a young Pistons team that's headlined by last year's first overall pick, Cade Cunningham.
