Raiders Release Henry Ruggs III

3 years agoThe Las Vegas Raiders released wide receiver Henry Ruggs III on Tuesday following his involvement in a car crash that left a woman dead. Ruggs is facing felony charges of driving under the influence of alcohol resulting in death and reckless driving. He was released from hospital and taken to jail ahead of an initial court appearance scheduled for Wednesday. The 22-year-old suffered injuries that weren't life-threatening, and he'll face a sentence of two to 20 years in a state prison. Ruggs, a first-round pick in 2020, there's a chance that this horrific tragedy is the end of his NFL career.
