McIlroy has now recorded five consecutive top-six results to begin the season and is the hottest player on tour, despite failing to find the winner's circle in any of his close calls. McIlroy's recent inability to close is alarming, but if he continues to put himself in these positions, the sixth-ranked player in the world will eventually overcome his ineptitude on Sunday's.
