4 years agoThe New York Jets will use quarterback Joe Flacco as the starter in Week 5 against the Cardinals, according to a sources. Sam Darnold (shoulder) suffered an AC joint sprain in his throwing shoulder in the Week 4 loss to the Broncos and has been ruled out. It's unclear if Darnold will be ready to go in Week 6. Flacco was active for the first time in 2020 last week after having offseason neck surgery, so there's a good chance we'll see some rust from the 35-year-old in his season and team debut this Sunday. He should be getting running back Le'Veon Bell back from Injured Reserve, but the Jets have few other reliable targets on offense for Flacco to lean on. He looked like a QB near the end in half a season with the Broncos in 2019 before his neck injury. Flacco will be strictly a desperation QB2 option in superflex leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
