Scottie Scheffler Extremely Hot Entering Players Championship

2 years agoAfter winning last week's Arnold Palmer Invitational, Scottie Scheffler has now won two of his last three starts. His driver was a major factor in his first win while losing strokes on approach. His second win came courtesy of a whopping 8.44 strokes gained on approach with minimal contributions from his driver. In both wins, he gained significantly on and around the greens, avoiding imminent bogeys late on Sunday. Scheffler is a runaway strokes-gained steam train that has absolute disregard for any obstacles in his way. He is now fifth in the Official World Golf Rankings and has the game and confidence to win The Players Championship, which would be the biggest win of his career.--Byron Lindeque
