2 years agoSungjae Im found himself in Korean COVID-19 protocols a week before the PGA Championship, which caused him to miss the second major of the year. Colonial Country Club suits Im's ball-striking ability. He is accurate and long off the tee, which is a premium requirement at a tight venue like this. His approach play has bounced back after a disappointing Florida swing, which is another key requirement when attacking the smaller-than-average greens. The only concern of Im's game would be his below-average putting on Bent surfaces over the last 50 rounds. His last three starts here were a missed cut, a T10 and another missed cut, which may mean we'll see another impressive performance from the Korean if he makes the cut.--Byron Lindeque
