Wendell Smallwood a Solid Option in Week 6

6 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles running back Wendell Smallwood is a solid option for Week 6 against the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football. Smallwood has been effective when given the opportunity, finishing two of the past three weeks as the RB14 or better. Now that Jay Ajayi (torn ACL) is done for the season, Smallwood and Corey Clement will be sharing backfield work for the Eagles. Smallwood is likely to take on the early down role and work between the 20s, while Clement will work more in a receiving and red zone role. That limits Smallwood's upside a bit, but should provide him with a decent floor. He can be counted on as a solid Flex option this week.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
