Yimi Garcia Takes His Seventh Loss

3 years agoMiami Marlins closer Yimi Garcia was saddled with his seventh loss of the season on Sunday, as part of the completion of Saturday's game. The Marlins and Phillies were tied after nine innings on Saturday night before rain came and postponed extra innings until Sunday. The Phillies bunted their free extra inning runner over to third, then J.T. Realmuto hit a two-run home run to win the game for the Phillies. Garcia has had good stretches this season, but he's overall been disappointing, especially in key situations that aren't exactly save opportunities. He falls to 3-7 with a 3.67 ERA on the season, and could be on the move from Miami before the trade deadline.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
