Adley Rutschman Beginning Rehab At Single-A Tuesday

2 years agoBaltimore Orioles catcher Adley Rutschman (triceps) is starting at catcher and batting second in the lineup for the team's Single-A affiliate Aberdeen on Tuesday. This will be the 2022 minor league debut for Rutschman, one of the top prospects in baseball. The 24-year-old suffered a triceps strain during Spring Training and he has been out ever since then. The expectation is that Rutschman will make his MLB debut at some point this season after he gets through rehabbing his injury and finds his groove at the plate and on the field. He spent the 2021 season at Double-A and Triple-A and slashed .285/.397/.502 with 23 home runs, 75 RBI and 86 runs over 123 games.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
