Brandon Aiyuk Gains 44 Yards In Week 5

4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk tied for the team lead in receptions in Week 5. Unfortunately, it was a dreadful passing day for the team. Aiyuk caught three of his six targets for 44 yards in the team's 43-17 loss to the Miami Dolphins. He and George Kittle, who also had 44 receiving yards, were the team's only players with over 30 receiving yards in the game. Aiyuk was third on the team in targets as Kittle and Deebo Samuel both had eight. Kendrick Bourne, who had four targets, caught the team's only receiving touchdown in the game. Starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo was awful in this game and was even benched at halftime. If Garoppolo can get back up to speed, Aiyuk should be able to turn things around and be a solid WR3 option going forward.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
