4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback C.J. Beathard has taken over under center in relief of Jimmy Garoppolo in the second half of Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins took a 30-14 lead into the half as Garoppolo struggled significantly, completing just 7-of-17 passes for 77 yards and two interceptions. This was Garoppolo's first game back after suffering an ankle injury in Week 2. We'll see what head coach Kyle Shanahan has to say about the shift after the game, but it's likely Garoppolo's day is over unless Beathard gets hurt.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
